QUESTIONS?

WHAT IS DIRECT PRIMARY CARE?

LMNO Pediatrics offers a healthcare model that allows for a personal approach to a physician-patient relationship without health insurance governance. Through a low monthly membership fee, our doctors are able to provide comprehensive pediatric care to families in Williamson County, TN.

WHY WOULD I PAY FOR A MEMBERSHIP WITH LMNO PEDIATRICS WHEN I ALREADY HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE?

The convenience of exceptional care.  As a member, you will have direct access to a board-certified pediatrician, no middle man, period.  The doctor will meet you in the comfort of your own home - gone are the days of lengthy waiting room stays along with other families with sick little ones.

WHY DOES LMNO PEDIATRICS CHARGE A MEMBERSHIP FEE?

Our membership model allows us to provide members with personalized care and direct access to their physician. In addition, our fixed monthly price allows our members to budget their health care finances without worrying about unexpected medical costs.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY MY MEMBERSHIP?

While we offer a comprehensive suite of services, the following are not covered.

  • Seeing a physician outside of LMNO Pediatrics such as an ER visit or hospital stay.

  • Any procedures, labs, and prescriptions obtained outside of LMNO Pediatrics.

  • Vaccinations: Although not covered by monthly membership fee, we have established a relationship with a local pharmacy to work with your current health insurance in order to be able to provide the needed vaccinations in the comfort of your home.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We do not participate in any insurance plan or Medicaid and are considered an out-of-network provider on most health plans. Your insurance company may reimburse you for out-of-network services, but you will need to contact your individual insurance provider for additional information. If needed, we can provide an invoice for medical care, vaccinations, and prescriptions that you can submit to your insurance company.

DO I STILL NEED HEALTH INSURANCE IF I AM A MEMBER OF LMNO PEDIATRICS?

While we provide extensive pediatric services, there can be occasions that a child will need healthcare outside of our practice. We highly recommend our patients have health insurance to cover these unexpected costs.

DO YOU OFFER HOUSE CALLS?

Yes! We will make home visits or can meet at a location in Williamson County and surrounding areas. If, you live outside this limit please contact us to see if we can make an alternative arrangement.

DOES LMNO PEDIATRICS PROVIDE VIRTUAL VISIT’?

Yes. Many times, we can answer your questions via text, email or over the phone. All of this is included in your membership benefits.

WHAT IF MY CHILD GETS SICK ON VACATION?

One of the benefits of being a member of LMNO Pediatrics is that you contact your doctor directly. Once we determine the best course of care, we can call in a prescription, locate the nearest urgent care, and even discuss your child’s medical history with a local provider.

IF MY CHILD GETS ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL, WILL YOU CARE FOR HIM/HER THERE?

Children admitted to a hospital are under the care of the attending pediatrician. We will work closely with you when your child is admitted, during their stay and upon discharge. After discharge, we will continue the course of care for your child.

I HAVE A HEALTH SHARE PLAN. CAN MY CHILD BE SEEN AT LMNO PEDIATRICS?

Absolutely! There are many health share plans available and some even cover the costs of your DPC members fees. This is an additional cost savings for your family.

WE DON’T GO TO THE DOCTOR VERY OFTEN; WILL A MEMBERSHIP BE WORTH IT?

Childhood illnesses and injuries are unpredictable and a single visit to the ER or urgent care will cost more than a month of personalized care at LMNO Pediatrics. When your child has a late-night fever, needs stitches, or has a last-minute sports physical, we are available to provide peace of quality care for your child.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I’M PREGNANT AND INTERESTED IN LMNO PEDIATRICS?

We welcome expecting mothers and would love to meet you. Please contact Dr. Sparks and we’ll schedule a complimentary time to meet and discuss ways we can serve your newest family member.
